Istituto Oncologico della Svizzera Italiana brings together in a single organizational structure all the non-surgical specialties within the EOC that deal with cancer. The Institute is based on the "Comprehensive Cancer Centre" model. While the main office, located within the hospital buildings of San Giovanni in Bellinzona, deals with more complex therapies. Most oncology treatments can be carried out in the Institute's outpatient clinics located at the various EOC sites.

The Complex Cutaneous Tumor Center, active since 2022 and operated in collaboration between EOC Dermatology and IOSI, draws on the multidisciplinary expertise of the Cantonal Institute of Pathology, the Department of Surgery and all EOC Services that may be involved in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cutaneous malignancies.
