Every year in our institute, tissue samples from more than 50,000 patients residing in Ticino are analyzed under the microscope. The diagnostic responsibilities of the anatomo-pathologist include typing tumors, defining the severity and stage of a disease, and identifying alterations that are essential for defining optimal and personalized therapies.
Pathology services are provided by the Cantonal Institute of Pathology located at Via in Selva in Locarno.
