Services
The main services offered at the site are an internal medicine department and a Low-Intensity Acute Care Units, which caters to adults who need the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services for which nohospitalization in an acute ward, but which by their nature and complexity of performance require a continuous regime of medical and nursing care that is not possible at the outpatient level or with hospitalization in an Acute and Transitional Care Unit.
At the outpatient level, in addition to the aforementioned First Aid Center, specialist consultations in major medical disciplines are offered at the site on a regular basis in a network with Bellinzona.
The health services offered are complementary to those provided by the other institutions that make up the multisite EOC hospital, thus guaranteeing one of the distinctive features of the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale: a territorial presence, an interdisciplinary approach and integrated patient care.
Ospedale Acquarossa is thus, like all the other health facilities that make up the multisite hospital EOC, a point of access not only to the individual site but to the entire EOC hospital structure and the specialties offered.
