The hospital
The Faido branch of the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale has an internal medicine department and a primary care center for primary health care. These services together with the other valley site in Acquarossa and the Bellinzona hub make up Ospedale Regionale di Bellinzona. It is located in the municipality of Faido and serves as an outreach hospital both for the Leventina district and for taking in patients from other regions, for whom it provides primary health care. At the outpatient level, specialist consultations in major medical disciplines are offered on a regular basis in a network with Bellinzona.
