Inpatient and outpatient treatments
Rehabilitation is a fundamental aspect of the care pathway of both the cancer patient and the complex, polymorbid patient in a stage of physical weakening caused by internist disorders. The goal is to improve the physical, psychological and social state, bringing it back to the state that existed before the onset of the disease. Due to the complexity of the clinical pictures it deals with, internist-oncology rehabilitation requires multidisciplinary and interprofessional treatments in accordance with the ICF (International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health).
The EOC's wide range of treatments spans from inpatient to outpatient settings, with the patient's overall clinical picture being the factor that determines the indicated treatment approach.
