It implies a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and a solid ethical foundation: the EOC Clinical Trial Unit is the benchmark at the cantonal level for what concerns this type of training.
The Clinical Trial Unit of the Hospital Authority (CTU-EOC) is a full member of the Swiss Clinical Trial Organization (SCTO), offering high-quality services for implementing and conducting clinical trials in accordance with national and international standards. By aiding clinical research and national and international collaborations, CTU-EOC enables innovative and high-quality care for patients.
The CTU offers first and second level Good Clinical Practice GCP courses, as well as the new GCP Refresher course recognized by Swissethics, Swiss Association of Research Ethics Committees. It also offers courses as part of the PhD Program of the USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, which are open to all interested parties.
