Brain Tumor: Visualization and Elimination
The research focus is on the identification of brain tumor cells during open brain surgery in order to augment surgical resection.
Non-invasive physical techniques such as RAMAN spectroscopy or photoacustics are used to detect tumor bearing cells. With the aid of targeted Nanoparticles the signaling is augmented. Studies are performed on cell cultures and in vivo model of glioblastoma multiforme.
