A pulmonary examination is a specialized medical evaluation that is performed to rule out, diagnose, or monitor acute or chronic respiratory disorders affecting the pulmonary system.
The goal of the pulmonary rehabilitation physician is to help the patient recover and rehabilitate all or most of the functions of the respiratory system that are impaired as a result of a disease event, planning the most appropriate therapy for each patient.
The pulmonologic examination includes history, objective examination, evaluation of previously performed examinations, and from the need for further investigations for the optimal taking care of the pulmonary problem, taking into account the patient's individualized clinical situation and wishes.
