Enhancement of Human Resources

Through multilevel collaboration and with various stakeholders, the project to implement the hourly reduction provided for in the collective agreement between ASMACT and the EOC, applicable to attending physicians and head clinicians, was initiated. The project teams analyzed organizational processes, technological innovations, procedures and resources to ensure optimal shift coverage and adequate conditions for providing quality care. The contractual change, active as of 1.1.2025, is an important initiative of the RU EOC strategy aimed at improving employees' work-life balance while maintaining attention to the sustainability of the healthcare system.

After a 2023 dedicated to dialogue with EOC executives to activate the resources needed to create the desired professional and human culture, the EOC Academy 2.0 kicked off in full swing in 2024. This offers courses and tools targeted to individual and collective needs, to support executives in the continuous improvement of skills useful to interpret their roles. The focus is on developing skills fundamental to an efficient, open and inclusive work environment. The five pillars on which the organization is founded remain respect, responsibility, inclusion, innovation and professionalism, along with everyone's commitment to following the code of ethics, the basis for internal guidelines and regulations, in line with the EOC strategic plan, and to face future transformations with opportunity.

The HR Area is committed to and supports the policy of Inclusion and Equity in various forms. Also for 2024, EOC confirmed the Equal Salary certification, issued by PWC: in EOC, pay equity between women and men is a reality. The certification allowed the HR Team to review and update both policies and practices applied in the different hospital settings of EOC.
