Discussion moments in schools

For years, the Sexual health clinics EOC have been organizing meetings on sexual and reproductive health with schools and facilities in the canton of Ticino and Moesano to complement the sexual education addressed by teachers.

These moments allow classes to confront and ask questions to experienced specialists in sexual health, and have a point of reference in case of need. The service is easily accessible, confidential, free of charge and young men and women can access it independently.

The meetings are aimed at:

  • middle school classes, as a rule at the end of third grade (after addressing sex education in natural sciences);
  • post-compulsory education classes (high schools, vocational schools, motivation semester, pre-internship, etc.);
  • special school classes;
  • groups of youth guests in foyers, institutes;
  • youth or adult groups organized by services in the area.

Contents

Topics covered are related to sexuality, affectivity, sexual and reproductive health, prevention of sexually transmitted infections, and contraception. The content in detail is adapted in consideration of the age and development of young people.

Based on requests, the program can be adapted or set up on an ad hoc basis; animations are free of charge and usually last two hours lecture.
