EOC patients can take advantage of healthy and varied culinary offerings. This offering is geared to patients' needs and aims to promote their well-being during their stay.

Menu

Each day, in case the patient is not on a specific diet, he or she will have the opportunity to choose the meal he or she wants from the proposals presented on the menu card located in each room. The chosen meals must be ordered the previous day, through the staff in charge who will propose healthy and balanced menus daily.

In case it is necessary to follow a special diet, the meals will be adapted by the staff of the dietary service, considering the prescriptions of the doctor treating the patient.

It is advisable to ask the nursing staff how to behave when relatives and acquaintances bring gifts of fruit, sweets or other food items, as well as drinks that may not be suitable for the diet being followed.

Schedules

Meals are served at different times depending on the department and are included in the following time slots:

  • Breakfast: between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: between 11.30 am and 12.15 pm.
  • Dinner: between 5:45 pm and 6:45 pm.

Taste Week

EOC and its facilities enthusiastically participate in Taste Week every year. The initiative promoted by the Association for the Promotion of Taste (APG) and supported by the federal government, aims to encourage activities that enhance the taste, conviviality and goodness of traditional foods for better health.

Menus based on typical local products and flavors are offered to inpatients, staff and visitors during the event. To show that even particular products can fit into any dietary regimen, in addition to the normal menu, typical Ticino dishes are alternated, revised in a modern way and adapted to the many types of dietary regimens.
