Economic impact of the EOC
The public hospital, beyond its foundational role of taking care of the entire population, enables it to generate added values of different kinds, contributing in an important way to the growth, wealth and socio-economic development of a country. Well aware of this role, the Cantonal Hospital Authority, commissioned BAK Economics to conduct this study with the aim of independently analyzing and quantifying the economic impact and added value of the public health service for the cantonal economy.

Information on news related to Locarno Regional Hospital is one of the points that can be improved according to the results of the satisfaction survey addressed to EOC treating and referring physicians at the end of 2021. In particular, in the workshop organized in May 2022 at La Carità with out-of-hospital physicians, the proposed newsletter with information on news was among the top 20 priorities.
