Inherent in the human condition is death and dying, with the many issues apparent with such inevitability – ranging from fears, confusion and stress.
Like all cultures, the Chinese has interwoven the beliefs of what occurs during the dying process and even after death into Chinese Medicine.
Through such beliefs and clinical observations, healing strategies have been designed to assist those in the dying process, to foster support to their family and loved ones, and to ensure a harmonious transition for the dying into the next “realm”.
This seminar by Jeffrey Yuen, the world renowed Daoist Priest and Lineage Master, offers a cultural perspective into death with rituals and techniques for the dying and the death.

4th Oct. Public Conference: “Wellness and Healing from a Daoist Perspective”
Intricately woven in Daoism is the healing arts which has significantly influenced the development of Chinese medicine.
Through the emphasis on the impact of nature with its seasons, geography, and fauna, as well as the responsibility of humans to care for themselves, one aspect of Daoism has evolved into Yang Sheng — the art of nourishing life. As such, these practices have aided individuals seeking wellness and healing with deliberate consciousness on how to orient and adjust their bodies to the rhythms of nature, aging, and self-purpose.
This talk will examine some of the facets of Daoist healing arts and ways to organize a practice toward wellness.
