Research related to epilepsy and encephalography (EEG) within Neurocentro consists in clinical pharmacological studies on new anti-epileptic drugs for epilepsy treatment. We are also involved in prognostication of post-cardiac anoxic encephalopathy in collaboration with cardiac intensive care unit, where EEG is a fundamental part of the prognosis. We are collaborating with the principal epilepsy centres in Switzerland within national studies regarding neuroimaging and EEG biomarkers after a first seizure. Another field of interest relies on the pharmaco-EEG analysis in epilepsy patients.
