Outpatient clinic/ functional neurosurgery
Functional unit coordinated by Prof. M. Reinert MD dedicated to the assessment of neurosurgical diseases with a subacute and chronic course and to treatment of chronic pain, spasticity and sphincter dysfunction.
It offers:
- initial neurosurgical outpatient assessments and any necessary postoperative follow-up for degenerative, oncological, traumatic and vascular diseases of the nervous system
- expert opinions
- interdisciplinary assessments with neurologists, neuro-anaesthetists, neuro-oncologists, orthopaedists
- participates in the Pain Center
- functional neurosurgery with intrathecal administration of Baclofen for selected forms of spasticity; sacral stimulation and Bridley stimulation for sphincter and erectile dysfunction, superselective neurotomy for spasticity of the upper limb
